**Job Description:**
- Performs diagnostic radiology procedures within the parameters of Limited Scope Training, ensuring radiation safety for self, patients, and others.
- Prepares patients for exams by providing instructions, assisting during the exam, and positioning them appropriately.
- Explains procedures to patients and responds to their physical and emotional needs.
- Observes patients and equipment during procedures, documenting unusual occurrences and patient conditions.
- Produces and develops quality radiographs accurately and in a timely manner.
- Processes films, uses x-ray cassettes, and calculates exposure techniques according to departmental guidelines.
- Assists radiologists, staff physicians, and co-workers during exams as needed.
- Communicates effectively with physicians, imaging personnel, students, and clinic staff to facilitate patient care.
- Prepares room, equipment, and materials needed for exams, maintaining technical operation and cleanliness.
- Inputs charges and required data for procedures and supplies used during exams.
- Participates in clinical training for students and Limited Scope Technicians, maintaining high skill levels through ongoing education.
- Administers positive emotional support to patients under adverse conditions and establishes constructive rapport with physicians, staff, and departments.
- Other duties as assigned.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:**
- Knowledgeable in all aspects of Limited Scope X-ray Technician Training and exam (Required)
**Education:**
- Technical/Vocational School (Required)
**Field of Study:**
- Graduate of approved accredited program in Limited Scope X-ray Technician Training
**Work Experience:**

- Registered Radiology Technologist (RT)(R)(ARRT)(Required)
