Barback

Marlow East, a modern American restaurant on the Upper East Side, is seeking motivated and hospitality-driven Barback to join our team.

Our concept is rooted in seasonal, ingredient-forward modern American cuisine, paired with a thoughtful and refined beverage program. The bar reflects that same philosophyclean, intentional cocktails, a focused wine list, and an elevated yet approachable guest experience.

As a Barback, you play a critical role in supporting the bar team and ensuring service runs smoothly and efficiently. This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that requires attention to detail, strong work ethic, and a team-first mindset. Youll be responsible for maintaining the bar, supporting bartenders during service, and helping create a seamless experience for guests.

Were looking for individuals who are reliable, organized, and eager to grow within a high-level hospitality environment. Experience in a busy bar or restaurant setting is preferred.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting bartenders during service with speed and awareness

Restocking liquor, glassware, ice, and bar supplies throughout the shift

Maintaining cleanliness and organization behind the bar at all times

Assisting with bar prep, including garnishes, batching, and setup

Handling opening and closing duties efficiently

Supporting floor staff when needed to ensure overall service flow

This role requires the ability to work quickly under pressure, stay organized in a high-volume environment, and anticipate the needs of the team.
