Lead Reservoir Engineer (Remote)
Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Reservoir Engineer to join their fully remote team. This pivotal role involves optimizing hydrocarbon recovery from reservoirs through advanced engineering analysis, modeling, and strategic planning. You will be responsible for evaluating reservoir performance, forecasting production, and developing strategies to maximize economic value. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in reservoir simulation, fluid flow analysis, and reserve estimation. You will work closely with geoscientists, production engineers, and management to define optimal development plans and production enhancement techniques. As a Lead Engineer, you will mentor junior engineers, contribute to technical standards, and provide expert guidance on complex reservoir challenges. Responsibilities include analyzing well performance, identifying opportunities for improved oil and gas recovery (IOR/EOR), and conducting economic evaluations of development projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, proficiency with industry-standard reservoir modeling software, and excellent communication abilities to effectively present findings and recommendations. The ability to work independently, drive initiatives, and collaborate effectively in a virtual environment is crucial. This is a remote-first opportunity for a top-tier professional looking to make a significant impact in the oil and gas sector.
Responsibilities:
Qualifications:
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and model reservoir performance to optimize hydrocarbon recovery.
- Develop and implement strategies for enhanced oil recovery (EOR) and improved oil recovery (IOR).
- Conduct reserve estimations and economic evaluations for development projects.
- Utilize advanced reservoir simulation software for predictive modeling.
- Monitor production trends and identify opportunities for optimization.
- Collaborate with geologists and production engineers on field development plans.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior reservoir engineers.
