Our client, a prestigious educational institution, is looking for a dedicated Adjunct Professor of Digital Humanities to contribute to their growing academic programs. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing for a blend of on-campus and remote instruction and research. You will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses that explore the intersection of technology and the humanities, fostering critical thinking and digital literacy among students. Key responsibilities include developing engaging course curricula, delivering high-quality lectures and discussions, assessing student work, and holding office hours. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital humanities methodologies, including but not limited to digital text analysis, data visualization, digital storytelling, and the use of computational tools for humanistic inquiry. A Master's degree or PhD in a relevant humanities field with a significant digital component is required. Experience with online learning platforms and pedagogical best practices for blended learning environments is highly desirable. You will work collaboratively with faculty in the humanities and computer science departments to enrich the student learning experience. This role requires excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and mentor students. You will also contribute to the intellectual life of the university through potential research or engagement in departmental initiatives.
