Our client, a rapidly expanding food tech startup revolutionizing the culinary landscape, is seeking an experienced and visionary Remote Cloud Kitchen Operations Director. This is a fully remote role, offering the ultimate flexibility to manage operations from anywhere. You will be responsible for spearheading the strategic planning, development, and execution of our nationwide cloud kitchen network. The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of food service operations, logistics, technology integration, and multi-unit management within a delivery-centric model. Your leadership will be crucial in optimizing kitchen efficiency, ensuring consistent food quality, managing supply chains, driving operational excellence, and fostering a high-performance culture among remote kitchen teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive operational strategies for a network of cloud kitchens.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance across all locations.
  • Manage supply chain logistics, inventory control, and vendor relationships.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize kitchen workflows, food preparation times, and order fulfillment accuracy.
  • Implement and leverage technology solutions for kitchen management, order aggregation, and delivery integration.
  • Develop and enforce strict food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Recruit, train, and manage remote kitchen staff and site managers, fostering a strong team environment.
  • Analyze operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends, challenges, and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with culinary, marketing, and technology teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of business objectives.
  • Manage operational budgets and P&L for the cloud kitchen division.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in food service operations management, with significant experience in multi-unit or delivery-focused environments.
  • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale operations, preferably in a cloud kitchen or ghost kitchen setting.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain management, inventory control, and cost management principles.
  • Expertise in leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage remote teams effectively.
  • Proven ability to analyze data, develop strategic plans, and drive operational improvements.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Experience in startup environments and scaling operations is highly desirable.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced, evolving business landscape.
