Job Description
Our client, a forward-thinking educational institution, is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Curriculum Developer to join their growing remote team. This position is crucial in designing, developing, and evaluating innovative educational programs and learning materials for a diverse student population. The ideal candidate will be passionate about instructional design, have a deep understanding of adult learning principles, and be adept at utilizing various educational technologies. This role is entirely remote, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the US.

- Design and develop engaging and effective curricula for online and blended learning environments.
- Create instructional materials, including lesson plans, study guides, assessments, and multimedia content.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy and relevance.
- Evaluate existing curricula and recommend improvements based on learner feedback and performance data.
- Apply principles of instructional design (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create high-quality learning experiences.
- Develop assessment strategies to measure learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS) and other educational technologies to deliver and manage courses.
- Stay current with trends and best practices in instructional design and online education.
- Facilitate professional development workshops for instructors on curriculum delivery and pedagogical approaches.
- Ensure all developed materials align with institutional standards and accreditation requirements.
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Curriculum Development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in curriculum development and instructional design, with a significant portion in higher education or adult learning.
- Demonstrated expertise in designing engaging online courses and digital learning experiences.
- Proficiency with various LMS platforms (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle).
- Strong understanding of learning theories, adult learning principles, and instructional design models.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Experience with multimedia development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team setting.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Portfolio showcasing previous curriculum development work is highly desirable.
