Remote Environmental Services Manager

Our client is a leading provider of integrated facility management solutions and is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Environmental Services Manager. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to oversee and manage cleaning and sanitation operations from anywhere in the US. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety across multiple client facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental services management, excellent leadership skills, and a proven ability to train, motivate, and manage teams remotely. You will develop and implement comprehensive cleaning protocols, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and enforce standardized cleaning and sanitation protocols and procedures across all assigned facilities.
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of environmental services staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
• Conduct regular site inspections (virtually or through designated on-site personnel) to ensure quality standards and compliance with health, safety, and infection control guidelines.
• Develop and manage departmental budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
• Source, procure, and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on proper cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and the use of equipment.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding environmental services, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
• Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the environmental services department.
• Stay current with industry best practices, emerging technologies, and new products in cleaning and sanitation.
• Investigate and resolve any incidents or complaints related to environmental services promptly and effectively.
• Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental services, housekeeping management, or facilities management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Proven experience managing teams, preferably in a remote or dispersed workforce setting.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and best practices for various environments (e.g., healthcare, commercial, industrial).
• Understanding of health, safety, and infection control regulations and standards.
• Excellent organizational, planning, and time management skills.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CMMS or facilities management software.
• Ability to analyze data, develop reports, and manage budgets effectively.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must have a reliable home office setup with high-speed internet access.
