Charity Project Manager - Remote

Job Description

Our client, a renowned non-profit organization dedicated to community improvement, is seeking a passionate and experienced Charity Project Manager to lead impactful initiatives. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to contribute to our mission from Grand Rapids, Michigan, US or anywhere within the United States. You will be responsible for the planning, execution, and evaluation of various projects aimed at serving underserved populations and fostering social change. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, operational excellence, and strong interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders, volunteers, and beneficiaries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop project plans, including scope, goals, budget, and timelines, for various charitable programs.
  • Manage project execution, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Coordinate and lead project teams, including staff and volunteers, fostering collaboration and motivation.
  • Oversee the procurement of necessary resources and manage vendor relationships.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and outcomes to internal and external stakeholders, including donors and board members.
  • Evaluate project effectiveness and impact, preparing reports and recommendations for future initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and relevant regulations.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and other non-profit organizations.
  • Manage project documentation and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Public Administration, Non-profit Management, or a related discipline. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in project management, preferably within the non-profit or charitable sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from initiation to completion.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Asana, Trello, Monday.com).
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.
  • Passion for the organization's mission and a commitment to making a difference.
  • Experience with grant writing and fundraising is a plus.
