Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting (Remote)

Our client is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their remote finance team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial reporting. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, managing the month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant regulations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and a proven ability to manage complex accounting tasks independently. Responsibilities include reconciling accounts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing improvements to accounting processes and internal controls. You will play a key role in supporting financial audits by preparing schedules and providing necessary documentation. Collaboration with other departments to gather financial data and provide accounting support is also a significant part of this role. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel are required. This is a remote position, demanding a high level of self-discipline, organization, and effective communication skills to thrive in a virtual work environment. You must be able to manage your workload efficiently and meet strict deadlines without direct supervision. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is mandatory. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a strong focus on financial reporting and general ledger accounting, is required. Experience in a similar remote role is a significant advantage.
