This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute your expertise to cutting-edge research from anywhere in the US. Key Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will possess a Ph.D. in Biomaterials Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of post-doctoral and/or industry research experience. A strong publication record in leading scientific journals and a history of successful grant funding or intellectual property generation are essential. Demonstrated expertise in a range of biomaterial types (e.g., polymers, hydrogels, ceramics, composites) and their applications is required. Proven leadership in managing research projects and mentoring junior scientists is critical. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are a must. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are necessary for scientific writing, presentations, and collaboration in a remote setting. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead independent research projects focused on the design, synthesis, characterization, and application of novel biomaterials for therapeutic and diagnostic applications.

- Conduct advanced experimental work, including material synthesis, fabrication, and comprehensive characterization using techniques such as spectroscopy, microscopy, and mechanical testing.
- Analyze and interpret complex experimental data, drawing scientifically sound conclusions and identifying future research directions.
- Author high-impact peer-reviewed publications, present research findings at international conferences, and contribute to patent applications.
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., biologists, chemists, engineers) and external academic/industry partners to advance research objectives.
- Mentor and guide junior scientists and researchers, fostering a collaborative and intellectually stimulating research environment.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies in biomaterials research.
