Senior Cloud Architect - Remote

Our client is looking for an exceptional Senior Cloud Architect to join their globally distributed team. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States. You will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and managing scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud infrastructures. Responsibilities include developing cloud strategy, defining architectural blueprints, and overseeing the migration of existing applications and services to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. You will lead the evaluation and adoption of new cloud technologies, ensure compliance with industry best practices and security standards, and provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in cloud architecture, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Strong proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture is essential. You will collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and translate them into robust cloud solutions. This role demands excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly, and a proven track record of delivering complex cloud projects. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.
