Remote Truck Driver - Owner Operator

Our client, a premier logistics and freight company, is seeking experienced and reliable Owner Operators to join their growing fleet. This is a fully remote position, allowing you the freedom and flexibility to manage your routes and schedule across the nation. We are looking for professional truck drivers who are committed to safety, efficiency, and timely deliveries. As an Owner Operator, you will leverage your own tractor to transport goods, managing your operations from the road.

Responsibilities:
  • Operate your tractor-trailer unit safely and efficiently to transport goods across various states and routes.
  • Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
  • Plan and optimize daily routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle, ensuring it is in safe operating condition.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery times, and mileage.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics coordinators regarding route status, delays, and any issues encountered.
  • Handle freight with care, ensuring it is properly secured during transit.
  • Manage your own business expenses, including fuel, maintenance, insurance, and tolls.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with dispatchers and clients.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to commercial trucking.
  • Respond promptly to any unforeseen circumstances or emergencies on the road.
  • Maintain cleanliness and a professional appearance of your vehicle.
  • Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices for owner-operators.
  • Manage administrative tasks related to your business, such as invoicing and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • Minimum of 2 years of verifiable over-the-road (OTR) driving experience.
  • Proven experience operating tractor-trailers, preferably your own unit.
  • Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
  • Excellent time management and route planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your business effectively.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must own and maintain a reliable tractor unit that meets all safety and operational standards.
  • Possession of appropriate insurance coverage as required by the company and state.
  • Ability to pass a drug screening and background check.
  • Commitment to professionalism and customer service.
  • Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) is essential.
