Our client, a major player in logistics and supply chain solutions, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Remote Logistics Operations Manager. This position is fully remote, allowing you to manage complex logistics operations from any location.

As a Senior Remote Logistics Operations Manager, you will be responsible for optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness of our client's logistics network. This includes overseeing transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and distribution processes. You will leverage your deep industry knowledge and analytical skills to streamline operations, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to optimize logistics operations, including transportation routes, warehousing, and inventory management.
  • Oversee daily logistics activities, ensuring seamless flow of goods from origin to destination.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, carriers, and vendors.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for cost reduction.
  • Implement best practices in warehouse management, order fulfillment, and inventory control.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and safety standards.
  • Develop and manage logistics budgets, tracking expenditures and seeking opportunities for savings.
  • Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Utilize advanced logistics software and technologies to enhance operational visibility and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including supply chain, sales, and customer service, to align logistics strategies with business objectives.
  • Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs for the logistics team.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in logistics and supply chain management.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in logistics and supply chain operations management.
  • Proven track record of successfully optimizing logistics networks, reducing costs, and improving delivery times.
  • In-depth knowledge of transportation modes, warehousing strategies, and inventory management principles.
  • Proficiency in logistics and supply chain management software (e.g., WMS, TMS, ERP systems).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Experience with international logistics is a plus.
  • APICS or other relevant certifications are highly desirable.
