Senior Civil Project Engineer (Remote)
Job Description
Our client, a leading engineering and construction firm, is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Project Engineer to lead and manage a variety of infrastructure projects. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere in the US while contributing to impactful civil engineering initiatives. You will be responsible for project planning, design, oversight, and ensuring the successful execution of projects from inception to completion.

- Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects, including infrastructure, transportation, and site development.
- Prepare detailed project proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.
- Develop engineering designs, calculations, and construction drawings using relevant software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and engineering standards.
- Manage and mentor junior engineers and technical staff involved in project execution.
- Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, regulatory agencies, and contractors to facilitate project progress.
- Review and approve contractor submittals, shop drawings, and change orders.
- Perform site inspections and provide construction administration services remotely when necessary.
- Identify and resolve technical challenges and project-related issues proactively.
- Contribute to the development of innovative engineering solutions and best practices.
- Prepare project reports, documentation, and close-out materials.
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
- Stay current with advancements in civil engineering technology and methodologies.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one US state.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in civil project engineering and management.
- Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex civil infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency in civil engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and project management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and schedules effectively.
- Experience in leading remote project teams and utilizing project management software for collaboration.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience with environmental regulations and permitting processes is desirable.
- Knowledge of contract administration and procurement procedures.
