Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Remote

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding, fully remote team. This pivotal role will involve the comprehensive analysis, design, and management of diverse geotechnical projects. You will be responsible for conducting site investigations, interpreting subsurface conditions, and developing robust foundation designs, slope stability analyses, and earth retention systems. Your expertise will be critical in providing innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions to complex challenges. Responsibilities include:

• Leading geotechnical investigations, including planning, execution, and interpretation of data from field and laboratory testing.
• Performing advanced geotechnical analyses using specialized software for soil mechanics, foundation engineering, seismic analysis, and slope stability.
• Designing various geotechnical structures such as shallow and deep foundations, retaining walls, and earth structures.
• Preparing detailed geotechnical reports, proposals, and technical memorandums.
• Collaborating with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and clients to ensure project objectives are met.
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices.
• Staying abreast of the latest advancements and technologies in geotechnical engineering.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Geotechnical Engineering. A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception to completion. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, FLAC) is required.
