Junior Cloud Solutions Architect - Remote

Our client is seeking a bright and ambitious Junior Cloud Solutions Architect to join their fully remote technical team. You will work closely with senior architects and engineers, gaining hands-on experience with leading cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Your primary focus will be on supporting the design, deployment, and management of scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructures. This role is tailored for a remote-first environment, emphasizing proactive communication and self-driven learning. Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and architecture of cloud solutions based on client requirements, adhering to best practices for performance, security, and cost optimization.
• Support the deployment and configuration of cloud services and infrastructure components.
• Monitor cloud environments for performance, availability, and security, and assist in troubleshooting issues.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to implement CI/CD pipelines and automate cloud deployments.
• Learn and apply cloud security principles to ensure the protection of cloud resources.
• Assist in the development of technical documentation, diagrams, and operational guides.
• Participate in team meetings, design reviews, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, services, and trends.
• Gain hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Support migration efforts from on-premises environments to the cloud.
• Develop a strong understanding of various cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Foundational knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Understanding of core IT concepts such as networking, operating systems, storage, and databases.
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and take initiative in a remote setting.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals) are highly desirable but not required.
