Senior AI Ethics Consultant, Remote Operations

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior AI Ethics Consultant to join our fully remote team. In this critical role, you will guide organizations in developing and deploying artificial intelligence responsibly and ethically. You will work with clients across various sectors, helping them navigate the complex ethical landscape of AI, ensuring fairness, accountability, and transparency in their AI systems. This position demands a deep understanding of AI technologies, ethical frameworks, and regulatory landscapes, all performed from the convenience of your home office.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive AI ethics strategies and frameworks for clients.
  • Conduct ethical risk assessments of AI systems, identifying potential biases, discrimination, and privacy concerns.
  • Advise clients on best practices for AI governance, data privacy, and algorithmic transparency.
  • Design and facilitate workshops and training sessions on AI ethics for diverse stakeholders, from technical teams to executive leadership.
  • Stay current with emerging AI technologies, ethical theories, and relevant global regulations (e.g., GDPR, AI Act).
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to integrate ethical considerations throughout the AI development lifecycle.
  • Develop guidelines and policies for responsible AI data collection, model training, and deployment.
  • Evaluate the societal impact of AI applications and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Communicate complex ethical concepts clearly and persuasively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Contribute to thought leadership by authoring white papers, blog posts, and speaking at industry events.
Qualifications:
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Philosophy, Ethics, Computer Science, Law, Public Policy, or a related field with a specialization in technology ethics or AI.
  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years focused on AI ethics, responsible AI, or technology policy.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing ethical frameworks for AI systems.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning concepts, AI capabilities, and potential ethical pitfalls.
  • Familiarity with relevant legal and regulatory requirements concerning AI and data privacy.
  • Exceptional analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a remote setting.
  • Experience in client-facing consulting is highly desirable.
