Job Description
Our client, a rapidly growing enterprise, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Procurement Analyst to join their fully remote team, supporting operations ideally located in **Richmond, Virginia, US**. This role is pivotal in optimizing the company's purchasing processes, ensuring cost-effectiveness, and maintaining strong supplier relationships. You will leverage data and strategic thinking to drive efficiency and value across the procurement function, working entirely from your remote office.

- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for various goods and services, ensuring competitive pricing and quality.
- Manage supplier relationships, including negotiation of contracts, terms, and service level agreements.
- Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends, supplier capabilities, and potential risks.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare detailed reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across departments to understand their procurement needs and provide support.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant regulations.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of a centralized procurement database.
- Utilize procurement software and tools to streamline purchasing processes and data management.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
- Contribute to the overall strategic goals of the procurement department.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain analysis.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw actionable insights.
- Proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of sourcing strategies, category management, and best practices in procurement.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of organization and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
- Experience with e-procurement platforms is a plus.
