Front Server

KomeNori is a new casual, modern Japanese restaurant opening soon(Early May) in Park Slope, Brooklyn, focused on quality ingredients, carefully crafted dishes, and warm hospitality. We aim to create a polished yet approachable dining experience in a vibrant neighborhood setting.

We are seeking Servers who are polished, professional, and genuinely passionate about hospitality. This is an opportunity to join an opening team and help shape the guest experience from the very beginning.
Position Summary

Our Servers are an essential part of the guest experience. Servers are responsible for guiding guests through service with confidence, warmth, efficiency, and professionalism. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, organized, personable, and able to perform well in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide polished, attentive, and genuinely warm service throughout the guest experience
• Guide guests through the menu with confidence and accuracy
• Develop strong knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, including ingredients and allergen information
• Accurately enter orders and process payments through the POS system
• Maintain tables through water service, clearing, resetting, and pre-bussing
• Deliver food and beverages promptly and correctly
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with managers, hosts, runners, bartenders, and kitchen staff
• Support the front-of-house team in maintaining an organized and efficient service flow
• Handle guest questions and concerns with professionalism and care
• Complete all opening, side work, and closing duties
• Uphold cleanliness, sanitation, grooming, and service standards at all times

Qualifications

• Prior server experience in a full-service restaurant preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional, warm, and team-oriented demeanor
• Ability to work efficiently and calmly in a fast-paced setting
• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency
• Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn
• Availability for nights, weekends, and holidays
• Interest in Japanese cuisine and hospitality is strongly preferred

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of serving experience in a polished casual, upscale casual, or high-volume restaurant
• Familiarity with Japanese food, sake, wine, and cocktails
• Experience working with service standards that emphasize hospitality and teamwork

Physical Requirements

Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, carry service items, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
