The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field, complemented by a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and robotics. Strong proficiency in robot programming (specific brands are a plus) and PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens) is required. Experience with CAD software for automation design and a solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems are essential. - Designing and specifying robotic workcells and automation systems, including robot selection, end-of-arm tooling, and safety integration.
- Programming and commissioning industrial robots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, ABB) and associated automation hardware.
- Developing PLC logic and HMI interfaces for seamless integration of automated equipment.
- Troubleshooting and optimizing existing automation systems to improve performance, reduce downtime, and increase throughput.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and maintenance, to ensure successful project implementation and ongoing support.
- Conducting feasibility studies and providing technical recommendations for new automation opportunities.
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including electrical schematics, P&IDs, and operational procedures.
- Staying current with emerging automation technologies and recommending their adoption where appropriate.
- Ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company standards in automation design and implementation.
