Job Description
Our client, a premier transportation and logistics company operating nationwide, is seeking experienced and reliable Class A CDL Truck Drivers for regional routes. Based out of our New York City, New York terminal, this position offers consistent miles, excellent pay, and a commitment to driver satisfaction. The ideal candidate will possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License, a clean driving record, and a strong work ethic, with a dedication to safe and efficient operation of commercial vehicles.

- Operate Class A commercial motor vehicles safely and efficiently over regional routes.
- Transport goods and materials in a timely and secure manner, adhering to all delivery schedules.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify any mechanical issues.
- Maintain accurate logs, records, and delivery documentation as required by company policy and DOT regulations.
- Safely load and unload cargo as needed, utilizing appropriate equipment.
- Follow all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, management, and customers.
- Maintain the cleanliness and operational readiness of the assigned vehicle.
- Report any accidents, incidents, or mechanical problems promptly.
- Adhere to hours of service regulations to prevent driver fatigue.
- Provide excellent customer service during pick-ups and deliveries.
- Participate in ongoing training and safety programs.
- Optimize routes for efficiency and timely delivery.
- Ensure all cargo is properly secured before transit.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable over-the-road or regional driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Must be at least 23 years of age.
- Pass a DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and hours of service.
- Ability to operate various types of Class A trucks and trailers.
- Strong mechanical aptitude for basic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Must be authorized to work in the US.
