Solar Panel Installation Supervisor

Our client, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking an experienced and safety-conscious Solar Panel Installation Supervisor to oversee field operations in the **Jacksonville, Florida, US** area. This critical role involves leading and managing installation crews, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality installation of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems for residential and commercial clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar installation, excellent leadership abilities, and a deep commitment to safety protocols and industry best practices. You will be responsible for supervising daily activities, training team members, conducting site assessments, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and lead teams of solar installers on job sites, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
• Ensure all installations are performed safely, in accordance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and electrical codes.
• Conduct pre-installation site assessments and prepare installation plans.
• Provide technical guidance and training to installation crews, fostering skill development.
• Manage tool and equipment inventory, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality.
• Coordinate with project managers, electricians, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Inspect completed installations to verify quality, functionality, and compliance with design specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues that may arise on job sites.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and safety records.
• Ensure compliance with all local permits and regulations.
• Communicate effectively with clients, addressing any concerns and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the installation teams.
• Manage material procurement and logistics for installation projects.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or apprenticeship completion is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in solar PV installation, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
• Proven knowledge of solar panel mounting systems, inverters, and electrical wiring.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations (OSHA 10/30 certification preferred).
• Excellent leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools common in electrical and construction work.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work effectively in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• NABCEP certification is highly desirable.
