Our client, a rapidly expanding logistics company, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Remote Delivery Driver Manager to oversee and optimize their driver operations across multiple regions. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to lead your team from anywhere in the US. You will be responsible for managing a team of delivery drivers, ensuring efficient route planning, monitoring driver performance, enforcing safety regulations, and maximizing delivery efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics or transportation management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage remote teams effectively. You will leverage technology and data to drive operational improvements and foster a culture of safety and accountability.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing, motivating, and developing a team of delivery drivers operating remotely.
  • Overseeing daily dispatch operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Optimizing delivery routes and schedules to minimize costs and maximize efficiency.
  • Monitoring driver performance through GPS tracking, delivery logs, and performance metrics.
  • Ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Conducting driver training sessions, including safety protocols and customer service best practices.
  • Investigating and resolving delivery issues, customer complaints, and accidents.
  • Maintaining accurate records of driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery performance.
  • Collaborating with other departments, such as warehouse and customer service, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Implementing strategies to reduce driver turnover and improve driver retention.
  • Utilizing transportation management software (TMS) to track shipments and manage operations.
  • Analyzing performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Requirements for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. A minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation management, dispatch, or fleet management is required, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity. Experience managing remote or distributed teams is essential. Strong knowledge of DOT regulations, delivery logistics, and routing software is necessary. Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are crucial. Proficiency with TMS, GPS tracking systems, and standard office productivity tools is a must. As this is a remote role, candidates must be highly self-motivated, adaptable, possess excellent time management skills, and have a dedicated home office setup with reliable high-speed internet.
