Located in the heart of Manhattan, BSTRO 38 is a neighborhood bistro and bar infusing cuisines from around the world. We are consistently recognized as one of the best places in NYC with elevated and authentic flavors. We are looking for a Head Chef with a strong foundation in culinary leadership to take reins of a well-established, busy, profitable restaurant with a high profile. The ideal candidate will be a highly professional team player, act as a mentor to their staff, lead through example, and demand attention to detail. We are seeking a leader with a passion and knowledge for the business who want the responsibility of driving our business forward while taking ownership of their work. As Head Chef you will lead executing our menu, lead our team and own the overall kitchen budget as well as implement innovative systems to increase revenue streams and customer experience. This position will be responsible for all aspects of managing kitchen personnel, ordering, food and labor cost management, creating relationships with vendors, collaborating on menu creation, daily specials and expediting. We are seeking a passionate and innovative chef looking for a new challenge. Beyond your culinary skills, you must be strong in inventory management and ordering; food and labor cost analysis analysis and control, hiring, training, scheduling of BOH staff.
