Job Title: Psychiatrist Geriatric Focus (Collaborative Agreements)
Location: Pennsylvania (Hybrid or On-site Options Available)
Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time
Reports To: Medical Director / Chief Operating Officer
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist licensed in Pennsylvania to provide high-quality psychiatric care to geriatric patients across a variety of clinical settings.
In addition to direct patient care, this position will serve as a collaborating psychiatrist for nurse practitioners and physician assistants under Pennsylvania s collaborative agreement regulations. The role combines clinical leadership , supervision , and interdisciplinary teamwork , ensuring compassionate, evidence-based behavioral health care for older adults.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations , medication management , and treatment planning for geriatric patients (typically age 60+).
* Provide ongoing supervision and collaborative oversight for psychiatric NPs and/or PAs, in compliance with Pennsylvania Board of Medicine and Board of Nursing requirements.
* Maintain and review collaborative agreements , ensuring availability for consultation per legal and organizational policy.
* Work closely with primary care providers , social workers , therapists , and nursing staff to coordinate and optimize patient care.
* Participate in case reviews , quality improvement initiatives , and interdisciplinary team meetings .
* Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation within the EMR system.
* Stay current on developments in geriatric psychiatry , psychopharmacology , and collaborative supervision best practices .
Qualifications
* MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school .
* Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency ; Geriatric Psychiatry fellowship preferred but not required.
* Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania medical license and DEA registration in good standing.
* Experience treating geriatric and/or adult populations in outpatient, inpatient, or long-term care settings.
* Prior experience holding collaborative agreements with advanced practice providers strongly preferred.
* Excellent interpersonal , communication , and leadership skills.
* Commitment to patient-centered , ethical , and compassionate care .
