Director of Community Services

Our client, a prominent non-profit organization dedicated to social impact, is seeking a compassionate and strategic Director of Community Services to lead their initiatives in Phoenix, Arizona, US . This vital role is responsible for the oversight and expansion of programs that serve diverse community needs, fostering well-being and empowerment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in program management, community outreach, and non-profit leadership. You will manage a team of dedicated professionals, develop strategic partnerships, secure funding, and ensure the effective delivery of services that make a tangible difference in the lives of individuals and families. Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all aspects of community services programs, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and strategic goals.
• Develop and implement innovative programs and services to address identified community needs.
• Oversee program budgets, financial management, and resource allocation to maximize impact.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a team of program managers, coordinators, and support staff.
• Develop and nurture strategic partnerships with government agencies, other non-profits, businesses, and community stakeholders.
• Lead fundraising efforts, including grant writing, donor cultivation, and event planning.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, reporting requirements, and funding guidelines.
• Monitor and evaluate program effectiveness, utilizing data to drive continuous improvement and demonstrate impact.
• Represent the organization in community forums, public speaking engagements, and advocacy efforts.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes inclusivity and client-centered service delivery.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in Social Work, Public Administration, Non-profit Management, or a related field; a PhD is a plus.
• A minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership experience in the non-profit sector, with a strong focus on community services or program management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs and teams in a social service setting.
• Deep understanding of community needs assessment, program development, and evaluation methodologies.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, interpersonal, and fundraising skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with grant writing, budget management, and financial oversight.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting for program impact.
• Knowledge of local resources and social service landscape in the Phoenix, Arizona, US area is highly desirable.
