Role Overview
Were looking for a skilled, licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team in a dual-role capacity. Youll be hands-on with both traditional commercial electrical work and building automation system installations. At Altitude, we understand that improperly installed or poorly sequenced controls can break even the best mechanical systems causing comfort issues, wasted energy, and major repair bills. Thats why we need electricians who take pride in doing the job right, from roughing in conduit to commissioning a complete DDC controls system.
Key Responsibilities
Perform commercial electrical installations including conduit, panel work, circuit wiring, and equipment connections
Install, troubleshoot, and service electrical systems for building automation projects
Run power and control wiring for HVAC equipment, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and motorized equipment
Support integration of HVAC controls, sensors, actuators, and DDC (Direct Digital Control) systems
Work on projects including pneumatic-to-digital control migrations, multi-system integrations, and custom automation designs
Collaborate with controls programmers and BAS technicians on commercial job sites
Support BACnet Secure Network (B/SN) infrastructure installations and wiring
Read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, and automation system schematics
Ensure all work meets NEC standards and local Colorado code requirements
Represent Altitude professionally with facility managers, building owners, and general contractors
Requirements
Valid Journeyman Electrician license in Colorado
3+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
Proficiency in conduit bending, panel terminations, and general electrical installation
Familiarity with building automation or HVAC controls systems (Reliable Controls, BACnet, or similar) is a plus
Strong understanding of NEC and local code compliance
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Valid drivers license
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
