Radiology Technologist/CT
Job Description
AHN Neighborhood Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist/CT professional to join our community-centered Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services, including general radiography and CT examinations, to support timely and accurate diagnosis and treatment for patients in a neighborhood hospital setting. Working closely with radiologists, providers, nurses, and fellow technologists, you will deliver compassionate, patient-focused care that reflects our commitment to accessibility, collaboration, and clinical excellence.
As a Radiology Technologist/CT, you will perform routine and advanced diagnostic Xray studies and CT scans according to established protocols, ensuring proper patient identification, assessment, and education before, during, and after each exam. You will carefully position patients, select appropriate technical factors, and operate imaging equipment to produce high-quality images while adhering to ALARA principles and all radiation safety standards. You will prepare and administer contrast material as authorized, monitor patients for adverse reactions, and respond promptly and appropriately to any emergent situations.
You will be responsible for verifying orders, reviewing clinical indications, and collaborating with radiologists to clarify or adjust protocols when needed. You will accurately document exams in the EMR and PACS/RIS, ensure images are properly labeled and transmitted, and maintain accurate records, logs, and quality control documentation. You will follow strict infection control practices, maintain a clean and organized imaging environment, and assist with equipment checks, basic troubleshooting, and coordination of service when issues arise.
This position is highly interactive and patient-facing, requiring strong communication skills and a compassionate approach. You will explain procedures in clear, reassuring terms, support patients with limited mobility or high anxiety, and adapt your technique to accommodate age, condition, or special needs. You will work collaboratively with the broader care team to support efficient throughput, help prioritize stat and urgent exams, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture that values respect, inclusion, and innovation.
At AHN Neighborhood Hospital, you will have the opportunity to grow your skills in both radiography and CT while contributing directly to the health of the local community. You will be part of a dedicated team that supports ongoing learning, cross-training, and professional development, while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and service. In this on-site hospital role, you may work a combination of day, evening, night, weekend, or holiday shifts, depending on operational needs, and participate in call rotations as required to ensure continuous access to imaging services for our patients.
