Radiology Technologist/CT Tech
Job Description
AHN Neighborhood Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist/CT Tech to join our community-focused Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic and CT examinations for patients across the lifespan in an acute care environment, supporting emergency, inpatient, and outpatient services. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team to provide accurate, timely imaging that supports rapid diagnosis and treatment, while maintaining a strong focus on patient comfort, safety, and dignity.
As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for X-ray and CT procedures, selecting appropriate technical factors and exam protocols, and operating imaging equipment in accordance with established standards and vendor guidelines. You will ensure images are of diagnostic quality, complete necessary views, and verify patient identification and exam details in the PACS/RIS and electronic medical record systems. You will practice radiation safety and adhere to ALARA principles at all times, using shielding, exposure adjustments, and appropriate techniques to minimize dose to patients, visitors, and staff.
The Radiology Technologist/CT Tech will perform CT exams including contrast and non-contrast studies, following physician orders and departmental protocols. You will assist with IV insertion and contrast administration per hospital policy, closely monitor patients for adverse reactions or changes in condition, and promptly communicate any concerns to the clinical team. Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail are essential as you work in a fast-paced environment where imaging plays a crucial role in patient outcomes.
In keeping with AHN Neighborhood Hospitals commitment to community-centered healthcare, you will provide compassionate, respectful care to every patient. This includes explaining procedures in clear, reassuring language, addressing questions and concerns, and adapting to the needs of patients who may be anxious, in pain, or have limited mobility. You will collaborate with colleagues across departments to coordinate timely exams, support efficient patient flow, and contribute to a positive, team-oriented culture.
Daily responsibilities will also include adhering to infection prevention and control standards, cleaning and preparing exam rooms and equipment between patients, and performing basic quality control checks on imaging systems. You will follow all regulatory and accreditation requirements, maintain accurate and thorough documentation, and participate in ongoing education and competency assessments to stay current with practice standards and technology advances.
This position offers the opportunity to grow your imaging career in a supportive, innovative environment where your skills directly impact the health of the local community. AHN Neighborhood Hospital values teamwork, inclusion, and continuous improvement, and encourages radiology professionals to contribute ideas that enhance patient care and department operations. If you are a dependable, detail-oriented Radiology Technologist/CT Tech who is committed to delivering safe, high-quality imaging and compassionate service, we invite you to bring your expertise to our neighborhood hospital team.
