Provide comprehensive routine and emergency dental services with a focus on delivering timely, evidence-based treatment to improve patient outcomes. Engage in diagnosis, treatment planning, and a variety of dental procedures to ensure optimal patient care.
Responsibilities
+ Perform diagnostic services and develop treatment plans.
+ Conduct restorative procedures, crown and bridge prosthetics, and uncomplicated endodontic procedures.
+ Perform minor oral surgery and refer patients to specialists when necessary.
+ Initiate and interpret dental radiographs and laboratory studies.
+ Administer and prescribe anesthetics, medications, and other therapeutics as needed.
+ Provide follow-up care and manage ongoing patient treatment plans.
+ Educate patients and families on dental and oral health, preventive care, and proper oral hygiene practices.
+ Foster respectful, caring, and professional relationships with patients, considering cultural, linguistic, and socioeconomic factors.
+ Supervise and support Dental Assistants and Dental Hygienists.
+ Collaborate with dentists, dental staff, and clinic operations teams.
+ Assist in training, education, and development of clinic staff.
+ Participate in community dental programs and outreach initiatives.
+ Review clinic productivity, procedure scheduling, and clinical care guidelines.
+ Ensure accurate and confidential patient charting and documentation.
+ Adhere to regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards as well as clinic policies and protocols.
Essential Skills
+ Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from an accredited institution.
+ Current and unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of Ohio.
+ Current CPR certification.
+ Proficiency with electronic health records and dental software.
+ Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to community health dental services.
+ Ability to work independently with strong prioritization and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ General Practice Residency (GPR) or Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) preferred.
+ Experience or strong interest in serving diverse and underserved patient populations.
+ Bilingual verbal and written fluency in languages spoken by the patient population (e.g., English/Spanish, English/Polish) strongly preferred.
