Hotel Operations Manager - Remote Support

Job Description

Our client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Hotel Operations Manager to oversee operations for properties primarily located in the **Portland, Oregon, US** area. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote work flexibility and on-site engagement to ensure the highest standards of guest service and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in hospitality management, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will be responsible for managing daily operations, leading and developing staff, implementing cost-control measures, and ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.
  • Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and manage hotel staff to ensure high performance.
  • Conduct regular inspections of property and facilities to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Handle guest complaints and ensure prompt resolution to maintain customer loyalty.
  • Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive business.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
  • Utilize operational software and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators.
  • Conduct virtual team meetings and provide remote guidance to on-site staff.
  • Perform on-site quality checks and strategic planning sessions as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong people management skills.
  • Excellent understanding of hotel operations, including P&L management.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in both remote and on-site environments.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
