Hotel Operations Manager - Remote Support
Job Description
Our client is looking for an experienced and dynamic Hotel Operations Manager to oversee operations for properties primarily located in the **Portland, Oregon, US** area. This hybrid role offers a blend of remote work flexibility and on-site engagement to ensure the highest standards of guest service and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in hospitality management, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will be responsible for managing daily operations, leading and developing staff, implementing cost-control measures, and ensuring compliance with all safety and health regulations.

- Oversee all hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.
- Manage departmental budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
- Recruit, train, motivate, and manage hotel staff to ensure high performance.
- Conduct regular inspections of property and facilities to ensure quality standards are met.
- Handle guest complaints and ensure prompt resolution to maintain customer loyalty.
- Implement and monitor operational policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to drive business.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
- Utilize operational software and reporting tools to monitor key performance indicators.
- Conduct virtual team meetings and provide remote guidance to on-site staff.
- Perform on-site quality checks and strategic planning sessions as required.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in hotel management, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and strong people management skills.
- Excellent understanding of hotel operations, including P&L management.
- Proficiency in hotel management software (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in both remote and on-site environments.
- Knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
