Lead Event Catering Manager - Remote Operations

Our client, a highly sought-after catering and event services company, is looking for a Lead Event Catering Manager to join their fully remote team. This role is responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and client satisfaction of all catered events, regardless of location. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in high-volume event management, exceptional organizational skills, and a deep understanding of culinary and service standards. You will be the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their vision is brought to life flawlessly.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of event catering, from initial client consultation and proposal development to post-event follow-up.
  • Develop detailed event plans, including staffing, logistics, menus, and timelines, ensuring all client requirements are met.
  • Coordinate with culinary teams, venue partners, and vendors to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Oversee event staff during functions, providing leadership and ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure profitability for each catered event.
  • Address and resolve any client concerns or issues promptly and professionally during events.
  • Conduct pre-event briefings with staff and post-event debriefs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and venue contacts.
  • Stay updated on event industry trends, best practices, and innovative service offerings.
  • Contribute to the development of new service packages and marketing materials.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in event management and catering, with a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, high-profile events.
  • Strong understanding of food and beverage operations, menu planning, and service styles.
  • Exceptional organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure and handle unexpected challenges.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by event schedules, although the role is remote.
