RN Emergency Room

As an RN Emergency Room at LewisGale Medical Center, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients of all ages presenting with urgent and emergent medical conditions. In this fast-paced emergency department within a full-service tertiary hospital, you will triage patients, rapidly assess symptoms, implement evidence-based nursing interventions, and collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to stabilize and treat a wide range of illnesses and injuries, including cardiac, trauma, respiratory, and neurological emergencies. You will administer medications and IV therapies, operate and monitor specialized emergency equipment, interpret clinical data, and respond quickly to changes in patient condition while adhering to hospital protocols and regulatory standards. You will communicate clearly with patients and families, offering education and emotional support during high-stress situations and ensuring that care is delivered with empathy and respect. You will document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic medical record and participate in handoffs that promote continuity and safety.
