Job Description

Boston Childrens Hospital is seeking a dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within the Healthcare & Medical Services department. In this role, you will deliver high-quality pediatric care to infants, children, and adolescents in a mission-driven, family-centered environment. Working collaboratively with attending physicians, nurses, therapists, social workers, and other members of a multidisciplinary team, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, obtain medical histories, conduct focused physical examinations, order and interpret diagnostic tests, formulate differential diagnoses, and develop evidence-based care plans tailored to each childs needs.

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will manage both acute and chronic pediatric conditions, provide ongoing clinical follow-up, adjust treatment plans, and communicate clearly with patients families to ensure understanding of diagnoses, medications, procedures, and follow-up care. You will perform clinical procedures appropriate to your scope of practice, prescribe medications, and coordinate referrals to specialty services as needed. A strong commitment to patient safety, quality improvement, and adherence to institutional protocols and regulatory standards is essential.

You will practice in state-of-the-art facilities that support advanced diagnostics, innovative treatments, and cutting-edge technology, contributing to an environment that promotes continuous learning and clinical excellence. The role includes active participation in care conferences, daily rounds, and collaborative treatment planning, as well as documentation of all care in the electronic medical record with accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with hospital policies.
