Our client, a well-established engineering consultancy firm, is seeking a motivated Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in **Des Moines, Iowa**. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software.
  • Conduct engineering analysis, including stress, thermal, and dynamic simulations, to validate designs.
  • Prepare technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing and assembly.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing personnel.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design issues during prototyping and production phases.
  • Assist in the selection of materials and manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and execute test plans to verify product performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to project planning and cost estimation efforts.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Stay current with advancements in mechanical engineering principles and technologies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in mechanical design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, AutoCAD).
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL) is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts is beneficial.
