Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and maintain 5G core network elements and radio access networks (RAN).
  • Develop and execute network deployment plans, ensuring seamless integration and performance.
  • Monitor network performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize speed, capacity, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and service disruption.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, and field engineering, to define network requirements and roadmaps.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including architecture diagrams, configuration guides, and standard operating procedures.
  • Conduct performance testing and analysis to ensure network meets or exceeds service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in 5G technology, including virtualization, cloud-native architectures, and emerging standards.
  • Participate in the evaluation and selection of new network technologies and vendors.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on 5G network design and best practices.
  • Contribute to capacity planning and network evolution strategies.
  • Support the rollout of new services and features on the 5G network.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications network engineering, with a strong focus on 5G technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of 5G NR, NSA/SA architectures, 4G LTE, and IP networking principles.
  • Experience with network planning, design, and deployment tools.
  • Proficiency in network troubleshooting and analysis tools.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, OpenStack) and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of RAN, Core network functions (AMF, SMF, UPF), and transport networks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, essential for a remote team environment.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet project deadlines.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco, Ericsson, Nokia) are a plus.
