Remote Lead Program Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Lead Program Manager to oversee and drive the execution of key initiatives within a fast-paced, innovative environment. This is a critical, fully remote role where you will be instrumental in defining project scope, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful delivery of complex programs from inception to completion. You will be responsible for establishing project frameworks, developing detailed project plans, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks. Exceptional organizational skills, a proven track record of leading large-scale projects, and mastery of project management methodologies are essential for this position.

As a Lead Program Manager, your responsibilities will include:
  • Defining program objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
  • Developing and managing detailed project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
  • Leading and motivating cross-functional project teams, including engineers, designers, marketers, and operations specialists.
  • Implementing and refining project management best practices and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
  • Conducting regular progress reviews, providing timely status reports, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Identifying, assessing, and managing project risks and dependencies to minimize potential disruptions.
  • Facilitating effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in.
  • Managing vendor relationships and ensuring contract compliance where applicable.
  • Overseeing the change management process and ensuring smooth transitions post-implementation.
  • Mentoring junior project managers and contributing to the growth of the project management practice within the organization.
  • Driving continuous improvement in project delivery processes and tools.
This role is designed to be fully remote, requiring a high degree of autonomy, strong self-management skills, and the ability to foster team cohesion virtually. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field and have at least 7 years of progressive experience in program and project management, with a significant portion managing complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives. PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are highly desirable. You should have a deep understanding of the project lifecycle and a proven ability to navigate ambiguity and drive results in a remote setting. Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills are paramount.
