Remote Principal Electrical Engineer - ASIC Design
Job Description
Our client, a globally recognized leader in advanced semiconductor technology, is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal Electrical Engineer specializing in ASIC Design to join their fully remote engineering team. This role is critical for driving the innovation and development of cutting-edge integrated circuits that power next-generation electronic devices. The Principal Electrical Engineer will lead complex ASIC design projects from initial concept through to tape-out and validation. This includes defining architectural specifications, developing RTL (Register Transfer Level) designs using VHDL or Verilog, and overseeing the synthesis, place, and route processes. You will be instrumental in ensuring the performance, power efficiency, and functional correctness of the ASICs, utilizing advanced simulation and verification methodologies. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including firmware engineers, system architects, and validation engineers, to ensure seamless integration and successful product realization. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of digital design principles, low-power design techniques, and advanced verification strategies. Experience with state-of-the-art EDA tools from leading vendors is essential. Proven leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior engineers are highly valued. This position offers the unique opportunity to work on challenging projects with significant technological impact, contributing to industry-leading products, all within a flexible remote work environment. Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for pushing the boundaries of semiconductor technology. This role requires a high degree of autonomy and the ability to manage complex design flows independently.
