REPORTS TO: HR Director and Campus Administrator
SUMMARY: Responsible for caregiver schedules, interviewing and hiring new caregivers, providing orientation and training for new caregivers and works with the Administrative Team to ensure all staff have appropriate basic training and attend required inservices.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete and distribute the monthly caregiver schedule according to policy and protocol
Schedule orientation and training for new staff
Schedule CBRF classes, coordinating with RN trainer
Schedule caregivers for attending inservices
Review and approve vacation requests (per policy) and shift swaps, implement these changes into schedule
Track and document all call-ins and attendance records
Implement onboarding and orientation folders with new caregivers
Provide and review trainer checklist with new hires and with the caregiver trainer as needed
Provide any necessary caregiver training as directed
Observe caregivers as directed
Follow up with new caregivers within first week after training and during 90 day probationary period, per onboarding workbook
Assists with interview process by attending interview, reviewing referrals and previous employment
Schedules shadow time for potential hire
Attend administrative team meetings
Provides nurse with routine resident reports such as vitals, weights, tracking records.
Assures medrooms and medarts are clean and organized and supplied with appropriate items.
Assists nurse with medication disposal as directed.
Takes on-call rotation as manager-on-duty.
All other tasks as requested

Enjoys working with the elderly, relates well with people in general
Able to lead and motivate people, excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to provide oversight and supervision effectively
Able to multitask
Have great organizational skills
Professional appearance and attitude
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to work flexible hours
GENERAL STAFFING REQUIREMENTS
Free of communicable disease
Able to physically/mentally perform tasks
Criminal record clearance
Willingness to learn
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must be 18 years of age or older, high school diploma or GED. Must have caregiver experience. Must have strong leadership have passion for geriatric population and be comfortable with dementia care.
