Telemetry Registered Nurse
Job Description
WellSpan Health is seeking a Telemetry Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team within our hospital-based telemetry unit. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to adult patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring, including those with arrhythmias, heart failure, postcardiac procedure care, and other complex medical conditions. Working in close collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary care team, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care to promote optimal patient outcomes and a safe, healing environment.
As a Telemetry RN, you will be responsible for ongoing assessment of patients cardiac rhythms, interpreting telemetry strips, recognizing and responding promptly to changes in patient condition, and initiating appropriate interventions according to established protocols and provider orders. You will administer medications, manage IV therapies, perform ordered treatments and procedures, and document all care accurately in the electronic health record. You will educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, lifestyle modifications, and discharge plans, supporting them in understanding and participating in their care.
