Practice Setting:
Procedures and possible diagnostic readingsAverage 6-8 cases per dayWill work closely with RRA/RPAsMust be proficient with procedures include lung and renal ablations, AAA endo stents, renal vascular stents, embolizations, IVC removals, and percutaneous gastrostomy tubesAPP coverage availableEmergency or after hours/weekends patients are transferredSchedule:
Part-time coverageMonday-Friday, 7:30a-4:30pNo weekends or call coverage requiredPatient Population: Adult, Geriatric
EMR: EPIC
Credentialing: 60 days
Requirements:
Active Pennsylvania licensure Board certification AHA BLS and ACLS certificationsMinimum 1-year Interventional Radiology experience or equivalent Job Responsibilities (Generalized): Diagnose and treat a wide range of system disorders in adults and potentially children (depending on the position) Conduct comprehensive patient histories and physical examinations Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as X-rays, CT scans and blood tests Perform procedures to diagnose and treat digestive conditions (depending on the scope of practice) Develop and implement treatment plans Manage chronic digestive conditions and provide ongoing patient care Collaborate with other specialists when needed to ensure coordinated care Maintain accurate and complete medical records for all patients Stay current on the latest advancements in specialty through continuing educationSkills:
In-depth knowledge of specialty principles and practices, including diagnosis, treatment and prevention of diseases Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients and collaborate effectively with healthcare teams Technical proficiency in performing procedures (if applicable) Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adapt to changing patent conditions Time management and organizational skills to manage a patient workload effectively RequirementsEducation:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree of Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school Residency training program in internal medicine accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) or American Osteopathic Association (AOA) Fellowship training in Interventional Radiology (may be preferred depending on the position)Licenses & Certifications:
Board certification in Interventional Radiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) or the AOA/ABRActive and unrestricted medical license in PennsylvaniaExperience:
While specific requirements may vary, most locum physician positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty BenefitsTravel:
