Job Description
We are seeking a Locums Fellowship-Trained Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to provide coverage with a physician-led organization in Phoenix, AZ. This organization is focused on supporting high-performing surgical teams with strong clinical infrastructure, allowing physicians to focus on delivering high-quality care in a hospital-based setting.
This assignment supports a high-acuity trauma center and offers the opportunity to work alongside an experienced orthopedic trauma team in a collaborative, well-supported environment.

Assignment Details
- 24-hour shifts with approximately 183 shifts annually (flexible scheduling options available)
- Blocked scheduling with 7-day stretches
- Built-in recovery time between rotations
- Mix of OR, inpatient care, and follow-up clinic responsibilities
- Work alongside an additional Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon
- Dedicated orthopedic trauma and acute care surgery coverage model
- Provide operative and non-operative management of orthopedic trauma patients
- Participate in trauma call coverage at a high-volume trauma center
- Manage complex fracture care, including pelvic and acetabular injuries
- Collaborate with trauma surgery, ICU, and emergency medicine teams
- Balance surgical cases with inpatient care and outpatient follow-up
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery
- Completion of an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship
- Experience in high-acuity trauma care required
- Strong expertise in pelvic and acetabular fracture management preferred
- Active Arizona medical license (or willingness to obtain)
- Generous (above market) hourly rate
- All travel arrangements provided and booked by the group, on top of the per shift rate
- Med-mal and tail insurance covered
- Personal locums consultant to manage credentialing and scheduling shifts
