Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Control Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the performance of our manufacturing processes. You will design, implement, and maintain complex control systems and software, ensuring efficient and reliable operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize safety by adhering to OSHA regulations and identifying potential hazards.
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, install, and commission new equipment and control systems.
  • Continuously assess and optimize process performance through control system modifications and troubleshooting.
  • Train and mentor control technicians and other team members to enhance their technical skills.
  • Collect and analyze machine data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimize production processes.
  • Proactively identify and implement new technologies and processes to drive operational excellence.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electro-Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of industrial controls experience in continuous process manufacturing.
  • Expertise in Siemens PCS7 and Step 7.
  • Strong understanding of PLC, DCS, QCS, VFDs, instrumentation, and HMI hardware/software.
  • Proficiency in industrial control networks (OT networks).
  • Excellent data analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with paper machines (preferred).
