Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team.We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our plant's control systems, including PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and human-machine interfaces (HMIs). You will also provide technical support to maintenance technicians and operators.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve issues with PLC, drive, instrumentation, and HMI systems.

  • Implement new features and improvements to existing control systems.

  • Contribute to new automation projects, including design, programming, and commissioning.

  • Mentor maintenance technicians and operators on control system operations.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of control systems.

Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Proven experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting.

  • Strong understanding of control system components, such as PLCs, drives, instrumentation, and HMIs.

  • Proficiency in PLC programming languages (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&IDs.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with industrial automation systems, including SCADA and DCS.

  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or other CAD software.

  • Experience with database management systems.
