Material Handler

Because we are a leader in the direct mail space, investing in technology and resources to facilitate innovative ideas and we’re looking to add a 2nd Shift Material Handler to our Shipping and Receiving team.

Summary

To supply materials to and from warehouse inventory to production machines in letter shop manufacturing.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Required to Sign in and out at supervisor desk at start and finish of your shift.
• Not allowed to leave area without permission from supervisor.
• Not allowed to leave building at any time during shift.
• Must follow Freedom Imaging Company policies at all times.
• Required to take PCI and HIPPA training.
• Responsible to check with supervisor or lead for machine assignments.
• Responsible to move materials from warehouse staging area to designated machines in manufacturing using pallet jacks.
• Required to follow quality control procedure for delivering material to machines.
• Required to use Job instruction when stocking machine.
• Responsible to move materials from one machine to another using pallet jacks.
• Responsible to restack trays of names.
• Responsible to move names from one machine to another accounting for tray tags and pallet flags.
• Responsible to move finished mail from machines to pallet building in letter shop.
• Required to use RF scanners.
• Duty to constantly monitor Andon signaling system on floor, Red (Mechanic), White (Lead), Yellow (Stock), Green (QC).
• Responsible to Sweep out machines at end of job and return overstock to staging floor for restocking.
• Required to follow quality control procedure for sweeping out machine.

Experience and Education:

• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Commitment to quality and safety
• Good communication skills
• Ability to accurately read and compare a series of numbers
• Prior experience operating forklifts and other powered industrial equipment is helpful but not required
