Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Knowledge within the Electrical Engineering discipline with capabilities and the initiative to perform the following with little supervisory assistance
• Design and layout of Low & Medium power distribution system
• Knowledge of substation design, short circuit analysis, ARC flash studies
• Experience with lighting design and grounding and lightning protection
• Design of electrical heat trace, wiring diagrams and schematics
• Application of medium to low voltage transformers
• Application of uninterruptable power systems
• Conduit, cable tray and underground duct bank design
• Utility interface design
• Electrical calculations including short circuit, load flow, arc flash, motor starting, harmonic, device coordination and voltage drop

Instrumentation & Controls Duties:P&ID developmentInstrument selection and specifications, control valve and primary element sizingInstrument loop diagrams, location plans and installation details. Interconnection and wiring diagramsSystem architecture developmentControl system hardware specificationsDevelopment of sequence of operation and functional description documentsDevelopment of cause and effect diagramsQualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering required
• 3+ years of relevant experience
• Ability to effectively resolve technical design problems with little coaching
• Strong Microsoft Office experience
• Familiar with SKM electrical modeling software, Smart Plant Instrumentation (InTools) and AutoCAD
• Must possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
• Must be able to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future

$80,000 - $115,000 a yearSalaries for all positions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, total years of experience in the industry, education, skills, and qualifications. Compensation may vary depending on the candidate's individual background and expertise. Salaries are subject to fluctuation outside of the given range.
