Job Description
Controls Engineer On-Site - $30-$36/hr
A client of ours is seeking a Controls Engineer to support the development and deployment of custom industrial systems. This is a hands-on opportunity for early-career engineers or technicians looking to build experience in controls, robotics, and system integration.
What You’ll Do Support design of electrical and control systems for automated equipment
Assist with PLC, HMI, and robotic programming and troubleshooting
Develop and maintain schematics, I/O lists, and technical documentation
Participate in equipment build, wiring, and system testing
Assist with startup, commissioning, and field troubleshooting
Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve integration challenges What You Bring Associate degree or equivalent experience in electrical, automation, or related field
Foundational knowledge of industrial controls (PLCs, sensors, motor controls)
Hands-on mindset with strong troubleshooting ability
Exposure to platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, or CODESYS is a plus
Familiarity with robotics, motion systems, or machine vision preferred
Understanding of electrical standards (UL, NEC) is a plus
