Job Description
Ascension is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate MRI Tech to join our team of dedicated healthcare professionals. Operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machines to acquire images as prescribed by physicians.
Ensure patient safety and comfort during scans, explaining procedures and positioning patients to obtain the best quality images.
Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment to ensure operational effectiveness and safety.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to interpret image data, formulate accurate diagnoses, and devise appropriate treatment plans.
Document all procedures, outcomes, and relevant patient interactions in electronic medical records.
Follow strict protocols to maintain cleanliness and prevent contamination.
Engage in continuous education to keep up-to-date with the latest industry standards and technology advancements.
Proficiency in using MRI technology and understanding of magnetic resonance safety.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and medical staff.
Attention to detail for accurate data entry and management.
Ability to handle stress and make informed, ethical decisions under pressure.

Certified Radiologic Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Additional MRI certification is preferred.
