Packager & Utility Packager – Ferrero (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: Ferrero: Louisville
Pay Rate:
- Packager: $17.00/hr
- Shift Premiums: +$0.20/hr for Afternoons, +$0.30/hr for Nights
- Temp-to-Hire:
Ferrero is committed to hiring you directly after 90 days of great attitude, attendance, and accountability! Your hiring journey begins the first day, with regular performance reviews. After 60 days of strong performance, you’ll start permanent onboarding.
As a Packager:
- Visually inspect cookies; remove defects from the line
- Prep cookies for sleeving or rework as needed
- Rotate sitting/standing positions every 15-20 minutes
- Stack, organize, and move products into crates/boxes
- Label and wrap products for quality assurance
- Follow all safety protocols
- Take direction from experienced team members
- Clean floors; keep workspaces organized
- Use pallet jacks to move materials to lines
- Stock cardboard in box loader
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Proof of Grade 12 diploma or GED
- Pre-employment screens
- Wear provided PPE: hairnet, beard net (if needed), lab coat, ear plugs, bump cap
- Bring your own steel-toed safety shoes and work pants (no jeans/joggers)
- Long-sleeve t-shirts available via payroll deduction (provided by Kelly)
- Review the communication board daily for important updates and overtime sign-up
- Packager: $20.48/hr to start; $20.78/hr after 3 mo.; $21.09/hr after 6 mo.
- Utility Packager: $20.66/hr to start; $20.98/hr after 3 mo.; $21.28/hr after 6 mo.
- Shift premiums
- 401(k), health, dental, and vision insurance
- Accrue PTO from Day 90: 2.3 hrs/week, up to 120 hrs after 1 year
- 11 paid holidays per year
- Uniforms, safety shoes, and prescription eyewear after 90 days
