Role Description

We are seeking a full-time Operations Manager for our New York City office. The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity. This role involves coordinating various departments, managing budgets, optimizing processes, and supervising staff. The Manager will also be responsible for implementing operational policies, troubleshooting issues, and facilitating communication between management and employees.

Responsibilities Include:

• Schedule site surveys
• Coordinate and finalize engineering plans
• Communicate with customers and be liaison between customers and Samba Energy
• Submit permits to connect solar to the grid
• Manage project details including: Ordering equipment; Creating a Building Assembly Model (BAM); schedule installation
• Recommend and manage site crews
• Ensure that projects are staying on track
• Make sure that all required inspections are made and passed
• Get customers to sign Operations Management Agreements
• Move projects through pipeline from inception to activation

Qualifications

• Operations Management and Process Optimization skills
• Budget Management and Financial Reporting Skills
• Staff Supervision and Troubleshooting skills
• Excellent Communication and Interpersonal skills
• Experience in developing and implementing operational policies
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management or a related field
• Experience in the solar sector
• 5-10 years’ experience
• Electrician’s license preferred
• NABCAP certification preferred

Additional Details

Job is full-time and customer-facing

When not with customers, expect 1-2 days at the Brooklyn headquarters; 1 day in New Jersey; 1 day in midtown; 1 day WFH

Salary

$80K base + $20K bonus
